 A polarizing Rob Zombie film is not a bad thing, especially when its believers liken it to the work of Kenneth Anger and Roman Polanski. Seems as though Zombie has shifted gears in a way that also aligns with Ti West's pacing with The Innkeepers and The House of the Devil, so people who want more of RZ's cartoon-horror psychedelia might want to pass on his latest. And genre purists who think Zombie is a complete hack based on his prior body of work might be intrigued by the presence of icons Judy Geeson, Pat Quinn, and Dee Wallace playing nefarious relatives.</div>
