THE BUZZ: The proggiest of Oscar prognosticators are all over Ridley Scott handling a Cormac McCarthy screenplay with a desirable cast that's so expansive it could barely fit on one of those special pull-out Vanity Fair covers. Brad Pitt should find himself in good shape after the unexpected bomb that was Killing Them Softly; right now, he seems to be the biggest threat to Tom Hanks's two-pronged Best Actor Oscar attack.
